OUTstanding Awards Were Given Out Last Saturday Night

Albuquerque Pride and Albuquerque alibi hosted the 2010 OUTstanding Awards Saturday night March 6, 2010.  The honorees in 24 catagories received a plaque and will be the honored dignitaries for the 2010 Albuquerque Pride.  The nominees were the top three nominees from those the community nominated.  Then an online ballot had over 2,000 responses that selected the winners. 

The winners and other nominees are:

OUTstanding Bar or Nightclub - Albuquerque Social Club
    other nominees were Exhale and Sidewinders

OUTstanding Bartender - Ryan Wilkinson, ASC
    other nominee was Kia Duran-Williams

OUTstanding Restaurant - Scalo
    other nominees jennifer james 101 and Maneaters

New Grief & Loss Group for the GBLTQ Community

The Uniting American Families Act (UAFA -H.R. 1024/S. 424) was introduced
as a Valentine’s Day gift this year to same-sex, bi-national couples by Rep. Jerrold Nadler
and Sen. Patrick Leahy.
