Start: 07/18/2009 9:00 am End: 07/19/2009 5:00 pm Free Day of the dead, Ghost & Folk art Show! “Arté de Muertos” Expo is New Mexico's’ largest “Day of the Dead” arts event (event) NMO Mystery Day Hike in New Mexico - NEW RESCHEDULED DATE Start: 07/19/2009 8:00 am This event was previous scheduled for June 6 which was rescheduled for June 27.Come join us for a day trip to a hike somewhere in New Mexico. A special hike from the book "60 Hikes within 60 Miles" will be selected. This is an opportunity to get out-of-town to experience a place you probably have never been to. A medium intensity hike will likely be selected. Call Fred at 822-1093 at least by mid-week if planning on attending. The hike will be selected by the Wednesday before. Bring a day pack with water and lunch. Hiking boots preferred. No dogs please. (event) First annual Albuquerque Transgender Children's Benefit concert Start: 07/19/2009 3:00 pm End: 07/19/2009 5:30 pm Albuquerque Center for Peace and Justice, 202 Harvard NE. This concert raises money for the parents of transgender children who can't afford the medical and legal expenses of treating transgender children. The concert is an acoustic performance. Performing are: Lynn Rosenthal Sarah West Kelsey Manning Jenny B. The event will also include speakers: Transgender advocate & activist Paula Kaski Sabryna Williams; Miss New Mexico PRIDE 2009 In addition, mother of a transgender child will speak about the challenges facing her and her child. Admission is $4. Refreshments will be provided.
