U21 or Under 21 Group

U21 meets every Friday night from 7:00 to 9:30 at MCC Albuquerque, 1101 Texas NE.  It meets in the main room of this LGBT church 4 blocks west of Wyoming & 1 block north of Lomas.

It is open to lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgendered, intersex, queer, and questioning youth under 21 and their allies under 21.  This is a youth space.  It is largely a social time with some planned events and sessions, such as arts & crafts, poetry, information on the community, films, dances, workshops, field trips, etc.  There are trained adults there to facilitate the group and assist as needed.

Visit U21 on Facebook.

We lost our web master and are currently looking for someone to re-build and maintain our web site.  If interested, please contact poetoishi@yahoo.com.

ACSL, the former meeting location, is converting the room U21 used into a day care center and U21 had to find a new place to meet.

Metropolitan Community Church of Albuquerque is glad to welcome the U21 group and hope they will feel at home in the new location.  MCC Albuquerque has long been a supporter and friend to U21.  MCC Albuquerque membership includes current and former U21 facilitators and members.  MCC was founded as a place for christian gay & lesbian people to worship and to help build the gay & lesbian community.  MCC Albuquerque welcomes people of all beliefs and non-beliefs and shares its space with many community groups to use for non-religous meetings and events.
