This amazing herstorical collection is from Maxine Feldman's estate, and was donated by her partner Helen to benefit U21 - Common Bond's Under 21 Group. It contains many signed pieces by the artists to trailblazing women's musician Maxine Feldman, including 2 signed Kate Millett works, some early feminist and gay rights work, one Mary Daly poster with a labrys, and a Lana Turner movie poster with her signature below. Here is a link to some photos of the items.
With such short notice before the May 1st Just Desserts fundraiser, it is possible that many of these items will be sold for nominal amounts. At least I hope that much of it can go to folks who treasure & value its herstory and importance. People from out of town are encouraged to contact folks in Albuquerque to act as your agent if you can't attend and are interested in some of these pieces.
