Have You Posted to the Wall?

Check out "The Wall" at the top of the left menu bar, the Main Menus were collapsed, and notice the new feature on Events - Signups!!

The Wall is for posting whatever you want people to know about, but doesn't fit on the calendar or else where.  Check out what other folks have to say or shout about.  See who's looking for help or who wants to help.  Read about kindred spirits are being called together.  It's your space have fun with it.  Please no personal attacks or gross comments.

We collapsed the menus in the Main Menu block on the left, but all the information is still there, just click on the menu item and it will expand and take you to that menu item's main page.  We are working at expanding and improving the resources and that section will probably see its menu structure changed with additional menu items and others may get replaced.

New Feature on Calendar Events! - Signups!

You can add signups to an event so people can sign up to attend your events.  You will be able to e-mail the people who sign up.  It is a great way to get RSVP's.  It also allows someone to post an event at a private location & let only those that say they are attending know the location.  It even lets you set a limit on the number of people who can sign up, if there are a limited number that can attend. 

Users note if an event has a Signup button at the top, use it to say you will attend, get a reminder notice shortly before the event and allow the event organizer to contact you.

Look for the "Signups" header towards the bottom on the "Add event" page.  Click on "Signups" to open up the Signups set up section.  It will let the person adding the event to put in text for a confirmation e-mail message sent when a person signs up and a reminder message sent the number of days before the event that the adder of the event wants. 

 The person who adds the event also has other buttons added to the top when they click the "Signups" button.  These include: "Signups", "List", "Administer", "Add", & "Signup Broadcast".  Signups is for the users signup information and a button to cancel your signup.  "List" allows the event adder to see a list of all who have signed up.  "Administer" allows the event adder to make changes to the signup setup.  "Add" allows the event adder to sign up other registered users.  "Signup Broadcast" allows the event adder to send a message to all the people who have signed up for the event.

Current events can be edited by the event adder to include Signups.  Open the event and click on the "Edit" button.  Then look towards the bottom of the page for the header titled "Signups".  Click on it to open up the area to set up the signups and messages to be sent.
