Gene Robinson, Episcopal Bishop of New Hampshire, will visit Albuquerque and Santa Fe on Saturday, June 26 and Sunday, June 27.
Bishop Robinson, who was the first openly gay, partnered priest to be ordained a bishop in a major Christian denomination, is a tireless leader in the movement for fairness and equality within the church. He will preach at
St. Michael and All Angels Episcopal Church,
601 Montano Road NW, Albuquerque,
Sunday, June 27 during the 7:30, 9:00 and 11:15 a.m. services.
Bishop Robinson will serve as Grand Marshall of the Santa Fe Gay Pride Parade on Saturday. On Saturday evening at 7 p.m. he will speak at Simms Auditorium at Albuquerque Academy on "Where are we going and what do we need to do to get there?"
