New Mexico GLBTQ Community Needs Assessment - Communities Missing - Please Help

Hi Everyone,

We are over half way to our goal of 400 responses to the New Mexico GLBTQ Community Needs Assessment Survey. While we have heard from many of you, we haven’t heard from areas like Alamogordo, Madrid, Placitas, Raton, Lordsburg, Silver City, Deming, Roswell, Carlsbad or Cloudcroft among others. If you live in one of those areas we especially want to hear what your needs and wants are. If you know someone in those areas or especially rural areas please share this information with them.

If you or someone you know would prefer to complete a hard copy of the survey let me know via email or leave a voicemail at 888-286-9306 with a mailing address. I will send out a copy of the survey and a postage paid return envelope.

The purpose of the New Mexico GLBTQ Community Needs Assessment is to determine the current state of life for the GLBTQ community of New Mexico, and to assess community attitudes and identify social service, mental and physical health, educational and social needs of the GLBTQ population of the state. The results of this anonymous survey will be used for program development by New Mexico GLBTQ Centers, to educate public policy makers, and to inform and support efforts to reduce homophobia.

This survey is completely anonymous and results will only be reported collectively as totals of the responses received. At no time will you be asked to give personally indentifying information and no individual responses will be reported.

The survey should take approximately 16 minutes to complete.

You can reach the survey using this link http://NMglbtqCenters.needs.sgizmo.com

Thank you for supporting GLBTQ community centers in New Mexico.
