Teri Benally was killed July 4 and Fredrick Watson was killed June 9. Both were Native Americans and found dead in the neighborhood south of Central between UNM and I-25.
Benally, 42, was found beaten to death a little after 1 am Saturday, July 4th on the 500 block of SE Maple. Police don’t have motive. They believe Bernally went out to meet someone she met online.
Watson, 32, was killed June 9th within 3 blocks of Benally. He was dressed in women’s clothes. Police believe Watson was a prostitute and was likely killed by a customer.
