SunTree, http://www.suntree.net, a nudist club based out of Las Cruces, is planning a family-friendly (men, women and children) camping event for the weekend of September 18, 19 and 20. Please email information@suntree.net if you would like to go or if you have questions. Please also email zianudedudes@gmail.com if you would like to go because if we get several people from Albuquerque we might be able to share costs and driving. Please remember, "nude" does not mean "lewd." --- From: SunTree Travel Club Date: August 21, 2009 11:27:07 AM MDT Subject: Addendum to the September SunTree Newsletter I have made reservations for a SunTree camping event for the weekend of 18, 19, 20 September at a camping retreat north of Silver City, near the Cliff Dwellings. The event is to be at the Wildwood Retreat. They plan on closing the entire facility for that weekend while we are there. We will have access to the grassy areas (bring your croquet set), the two fire pits (bring your own firewood), both communal kitchens (bring everything that you plan to eat) and both stages (bring your dulcimer and banjo). During that weekend nobody will be allowed into the retreat unless they are on the SunTree access list. They are giving us a flat fee for all of that and they are limiting us to 25 people. With the flat fee, the cost will be $30 for each person. Of course if there are less participants then each will have to pay more accordingly (if I am the only one who shows up, it will cost me $750). I am sending this e-mail out early in order to get replies from interested participants. If I do not get positive response from 25 people by 2 September, I will be able to cancel the reservations and retrieve the deposit that I have put on my personal credit card. It is in my interest to hear from you in response to this e-mail as soon as you are able to consider your decision. There are some rules that I feel that we can live with (I hope that you do too). - No glass around the hot springs soaking pools. - Put all trash and recyclables in the designated areas (the management will remove them). - Bring your own food and beverage including liquor. Strive to bring unbreakable drinking cups. - The campers will be responsible for any damage to the Wildwood property. - Well trained dogs will be tolerated. There are a couple of drawbacks to this site which may help some of you to decide to skip this event. The major one is the entry road. The first hundred feet or so of this road is very rough and steep. Large RVs probably should not attempt to travel this road. The retreat does not have RV hookups, but they will strive to get electricity to any campers or RVs that survive the entry road. Water is available at the kitchen and there are bathrooms, so it is sort of luxury camping. There is a cabin which is available for rent at $40 a night or a camper trailer for $35 a night. If you want one of those, you need to contact the retreat directly. If you do not think to bring everything that you feel that you need, the retreat is not too far from Doc Campbell's Store (bring lots of money in this case). Doc Campbell's also has gasoline (think second mortgage). As I said earlier, I would appreciate responses as soon as you can. Simply reply to information@suntree.net.
