On-going  Adult Therapy Group

 

A Supportive Place where the Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender, and Questioning community can feel free and comfortble to explore mental health and all emotional and behavioral wellness issues in an Open, Affirming, and Accepting therapeutic atmosphere that does not judge.

 

This Group is suited for you if:

-you are dealing with emotional wellness issues related directly to living in the world as a member of the LGBTQ community.

or

- you are dealing with emotional wellness issues that are not GLBTQ specific but you would feel more comfortable dealing with them in a Group that is open, acceptinG, and affirming.

 

Requirements for Group:

This Group will be open to men and women who are 18 years of age or older and who are also working with any kind of emotional, mental health, or behavioral wellness issues.

 

Note: This Group will also be open to those who are questioning their orientation and having some concerns or discomfort around identity issues; and who meet the flexible requirements above.

 

Range of Issues and Topics:

Issues and topics addressed in this Group may include but are certainly not limited to: anxiety/panic and depression symptoms; the impact of relationship issues on wellness; "coming out" or self-acceptance and identity issues; dealing with work related stress, and how this may relate to sexual orientation and identity; dealing with the impact and stress of STDs or the potential for them; stress in family and social realtionships; age-ing in the GLBT communitiy; basic personal and spiritual growth/development; and more.
