The 2011 Holiday Concert series is scheduled for December 9, 10, and 11.
The first section is Holiday songs that are familiar and and specific to our American culture of Christmas. The second section is Holiday songs that are from far away, e.g. Ireland, Spain, Africa. The third section is Holiday songs from long ago, but are still with us now. The fourth section is Holiday songs of now, e.g. carols done in a new way, or with new lyrics, or new music.

Our concert theme is Vignettes of Christmas. A vignette is a short, impressionistic scene that focuses on one moment or gives a trenchant impression about a character, an idea, or a setting. Here are our four vignettes:

As the legislative session comes to an end, we are deeply disappointed that SB183, Domestic Partnerships sponsored by Senator Wirth and Representative Stewart, was tabled in the Senate Finance Committee this year.
However, we are pleased to have Senator McSorley introduce SB146, a bill to change marriage license forms to applicant 1 and applicant 2. We also defeated any legislation that would define marriage.

"Seasons of Women" is a collection of songs that celebrates the joys of being a woman from, childhood to crone!
