Mark your calendar now for Saturday, August 17, 3-5 pm for a tribute to community activist and longtime friend of the LGBT community, Liz Canfield. Now age 90, Liz started her Aids Emergency Project 25 years ago to provide "last resort" financial assistance to low income New Mexicans living with HIV/AIDS.
Today the Common Bond NM Emergency Project works with seven public health agencies in Albuquerque, Santa Fe, Roswell, Las Cruces and Gallup to help prevent homelessness, maintain clients' utilities and provide medicines not covered by any other public or private program.
Start your Pride festivities with a rousing musical celebration. Share your hopes and dreams of better places and better tomorrows.
