Come join the club for a weekend trip Sat & Sun Nov. 12-13 to one of the best caverns in the world. We will be leaving Saturday morning, catch the bats leaving the caverns at dusk and then spend the night in a motel in the city of Carlsbad. First thing in the morning we will be spending a fair amount of time at Carlsbad Caverns itself. We will return to Albuquerque sometime in the evening hours.

This Tuesday, Nov. 1, is the next NMO potluck meeting. It will be held in the home of David in the downtown Albuquerque area. If coming for the potluck then bring an entree, salad or dessert to share. Potluck at 7 pm and meeting at 8 pm. .

Come celebrate the Easter weekend with a moderate hike in the Sandias followed by a relaxing barbecue on Fred’s patio. Weather permitting. No pets please. Time on the calendar is very tenative. The NMO Mardi Gras party will be this Tuesday night, March 8th. It will be an outrageous evening. Bring a New Orleans type potluck dish to share BUT a fun finger food would also be just fine. We would love to see you all dressed in some form of costume (but it is not required); street clothes are fine. We will have great prizes for best costumes (sexiest, most outrageous, etc.). And of course we have dozens of beads to give away to guys that want to "earn" them. And dance music all evening long. Soft drinks will be served but BYOB if you wish (drink responsibly). This will NOT be your typical NMO potluck evening !!! The party starts at 7 pm with the potluck starting around 7:30 pm.
Come out to the 19th Annual Zia Regional Rodeo July 23-25, 2010, put on by the New Mexico Gay Rodeo Association. It will be held at the Bernalillo County Sheriff's Posse Arena, 10308 Second Street, NW, Albuquerque, NM. This wonderfully fun event is the second largest LGBT event in New Mexico, and the largest LGBT Western event in New Mexico. It is also a fundraiser, giving back to the community to organizations such as New Mexico AIDS Services, New Mexico Breast Cancer Coalition, New Mexico Domestic Violence Hotline and People of Color AIDS Foundation, to name a few. This is a family-friendly event, so bring the kids out and watch male and female contestants compete in your favorite rodeo events, as well as some that are unique to the gay rodeo circuit, such as goat underwear dressing!
