Depending on what you would like to do and where you are staying will determine how easily you will be able to get around. If you want to visit the gay bars on Central, they are spread out and not easily within walking distance of each other, and unless you are at one of the nearby hotels on Central, you will need to drive, take the bus or a cab to get to them. If you have a car, then you will have no problems getting around. If you are going to rely on public transportation, like the Sun Tran Bus system or taxicabs, this can be somewhat of a challenge and an expense. The Sun Tran Bus System operates primarily in the city, which has many stops throughout it. It does not operate 24 hours, so if you are planning on taking the bus to the bars, you won't be staying until closing, if you want to take the bus back to your hotel.
