New Day 2720 Carlisle NE 87110 256-0429, 247-9999 Shelter for runaways. 24 hour admission. Ages 12 - 17. Meals provided. Four shelters in Albuquerque area. Outreach program for first offenders, DUI, Drug and Alcohol counseling. Americorps, tutoring with Rio Grande High School, Family preservation. Volunteers accepted, 21 years or older.
Youth in Development's Youth Reaching Youth helps out homeless and runaway youth ages 13 to 21. Call their office at 831-6038 for specific services.
You can pick up a current copy of Street News from someone selling it on many street corners in the Central and Downtown area. It contains many resources and referral services.
