Some Video Highlights from Caught in the Act 1992

Picture
"Greta"
(Jack Denvir)

Ray Rivera was a regular performer in the 90’s Caught in the Act shows. In 1992, he MC’ed the show. Here’s his opening monologue.  (8 mins)
SKIRTS was Jeni, Jal. Amy, Beta, Elane and Hillary. Watch them rock out on “You Got the Love.”  (5 mins)
SLUTTAGE were a frequent fixture of CITA shows with a revolving cast of uninhibited performers. The 1992 crew was Brian Lanter, Stephen Montoya, Alan Ponder, Ken Post and Dean Squibb. Their set was Albuquerque People, Men, and I Like ‘Em Big & Stupid.  (12 mins)
Echo was an audience favorite for many years, including being Mistress of Ceremonies twice. This monologue was titled A Part of It All.  (12 mins)
Exit 154 also appeared in many CITA shows. Here Jai Conroy, Drew Dooley and Kay Deasy perform If Only We Choose and Ms. Sandman.  (10 mins)
Finally, here’s a chance to get a real sense of the Caught in the Act experience. The conclusion of the 1992 show includes The Park: A Celebration in One Act by The Wilde Bunch, Albuquerque LGBTQ+ square dancing group, following by It’s a Fine Life sung by “Greta”(Jack Denvir), which leads to curtain calls by the entire cast. In the very last curtain call, that’s Jon Hull on the left. Stick around for a few extra minutes and watch some of the audience filing out of the KiMo Theatre. You might spot yourself or some of your friends from the early 1990’s. (17 mins)
PLEASE NOTE: The original recording of this show was made on VHS tape at LP speed. The visual quality is less than ideal. We hope the nostalgia value is some compensation. Enjoy!
