The Places We’ve Been

The vision for Common Bond was to build the LGBT community in Albuquerque. A key means of accomplishing that was to have aconvivial place for gay men and women to gather together. However, a chronic impediment was the lack of a consistent income stream for rent, utilities and other amenities to make a meeting space appealing and functional. Then, ultimately, our community ran out of enough volunteers to keep the final community center open.
